Frequently Asked Questions

What do you need from me?

The more information you have for us to start with, the better.

For example:

  • Name of your relative(s)

  • Date and place of birth, death or any other event like marriage, funeral or when they emigrated, and maybe at what port they arrived

  • Places where they lived, lines of work they might have had, letters or other documents

Even with just a little information there is always an opportunity to find your ancestors - and if we can't find anything, there is no cost involved for you.

How does this work?

After the initial search, which is free, we will come back to you and let you know if we will be able to find your relatives in the archives and put together your genealogy and create your Swedish Family Tree.

Then you decide if you want us to continue the research, and how far you would like to go. There are fixed prices and also reductions for people that we can't find. (Sometimes church records are missing because of fires etc.)

For Prices click here

We can work with a suggested fixed price from the price list or on a retainer basis, where you define what you need help with specifically and how many hours you want us to dedicate to this. Price per hour is 45 US$, but for retainers we usually give discounts.

How much does it cost?

Your can find information on prices here

How are payments made?

Payments are made through PayPal.

A fee of 3 % will be added to the invoice, which is half of the 6 % fee that PayPal charges for payments, which means we split the fee.
